Three Ways to BuildIt is important to try to keep all students challenged while still providing help when necessary. The building instructions for the Express-Bot project provide three ways to build, to challenge users with different experience levels individually:
Start with the Express-Bot Driving Base
Express-Bot Modules and Attachments
Customize your own Instruction Packets from the Complete Set

Express-Bot Programming The Express-Bot project is designed for educators, coaches, and other users of the LEGO MINDSTORMS Education NXT Base Set (9797) to use as a mechanical starting point for a variety of their own tasks, experiments, and programming lessons. For completed programming examples, including uses of the different sensor types, ranging from beginner to advanced techniques, the CD LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT 2.0 by Example contains an extensive set of programs for the Multi-Bot project (see program descriptions here), and many of these programs will work for the Express-Bot design and its attachments with minor or no modification, or provide the learning and understanding necessary to write your own programs for Express-Bot. The Multi-Bot mechanical design is designed for the NXT 2.0 retail (8547) set, but the programs are compatible with the LEGO Education NXT-G 2.0 or later software, and they provide a good starting point for educators using the Express-Bot design. |
